Holywell and District Neighbourhood Watch 2007

Key Members of HDNW

Barry Lambert - Chairman
Barry as Chairman is responsible to all the members for the decisions affecting the way HDNW is run, and makes sure that everyone has a say and that their views are listened to. Under his leadership the organisation has grown and is continuing to grow. He works closley with his other management team members, ensuring that all decisions are right and in accordance with the aims of neighbourhood watch, and what is expected of it. Under his leadership links have been forged with statutory and voluntary agencies including North Wales Police and Flintshire Victim Support .
Shelia Williams - Treasurer
Shelia works very hard to ensure the organisation has the funds it needs to operate with. Wether it is standing on a cold street on bonfire night, or a hot summers day she is out and about raising money. Shelia recently ran a fund raising shop in Holywell which raised over a thousand pounds. Shelia is one of the original members and has been with HDNW for a number of years now. Shelia is a true team member and takes her responsibilities very seriously.
Name witheld at present - Secretary
The Secretary is responsible to the Chairman and members of HDNW to ensure that minutes are produced for every meeting. She also ensures that good lines of communication are main tained through out the management team. Another hard working member of the team she fully supports the aims and objectives of HDNW.
Peter Langworthy - Vice Chair.
It gives us the greatest pleasure to announce that Mr. Langworthy is our new Vice Chair. Peter is one of the longer serving members who lives and runs a scheme in the Holywell area. His appointment was welcomed by everyone present at the April 2007 meeting.
HDNW - Team members
The team members attend every Tuesday meeting so that they can catch up on information, have input into any new iniatives that are going on, and generally discuss matters of importance which are going on in their own communities. They are dedicated members who are serving their communities in a voluntary role. If there is a problem then they do what they can to help and refer problems to the agency best suited to work with the people affected.
HDNW - Youth Team
The younger members of the organisation. They attend most meetings and assist the Treasurer in her fund raising activities. The schools they attend probably are not aware of what they do because they just get on with helping were they can. These young people are made to feel very welcome because the youth of today are the adult members of tommorrow and we want the organisation to grow and remain strong serving the communities of North Flintshire with dedication.
NFCAT
This is a branch of Holywell and District Neighbourhood Watch. It undertakes several roles, working actively in the community while ensuring that it still keeps within the remit laid down. Holywell and District Neighbourhood Watch is the umbrella organisation to which NFCAT is a part.
