One of our members, Dave Badger was nominated for an award for his voluntary role with Victim Support. Nominated by his Manager, Barbara Roberts, Dave received a certificate for his work in the sector. The team Dave works with have developed a target hardening project working with victims of crime.

Ms Roberts is proud of the effect that target hardening and the installation of camera systems into victims houses is helping with their security. She had the fore sight to realise that this service would help to increase the amount of support that can be given at a time in a persons life when they need it.

Both Victim Support and Holywell and District Neighbourhood Watch at times work in partnership in this vital area of service delivery.

In October 2007 Dave was voted Citizen of the Year by Clwyd Alyn Housing association. Nominated by Ms E.Pugh, she paid tribute to Daves work in the area of Anti Social Behaviour and working to reduce crime in his locality.

Dave Paid tribute to Ms Pugh and the Quality Partner team in all the hard work they had put into this project. Particularly of note was the time and enthusiasm of Mr. Gareth Hughes Roberts of Clwyd Alyn and Mr. David Lloyd of TPAS who have worked extensively with the team leading up to an Anti Social Roadshopw being held in Flintshire.
